If you’ve got a diesel truck and you’re not going to J & D Diesel, you’re doing life on hard mode. These guys have bailed me out more times than I’d like to admit—whether it’s a situation where you turn the key and immediately know something’s wrong, or just routine maintenance. Every single time, they come through. No drama, no runaround, just solid work. I’ll put it this way—I once didn’t drive the extra 30 minutes to go to them and thought I’d try someone closer. Big mistake. I got completely hosed by another mechanic. Spent WAY money than I should have and it took two weeks to get my truck back because I genuinely don't think they were familiar with powerstroke engines. I think the other shops lack of familiarity, and therefore way more time than necessary spent, was passed on to me in labor fees. Lesson learned. Never again! Jeff, one of the owners, genuinely took care of me. I actually felt like a client—not a victim like you do at a lot of shops. That alone sets them apart. They explain what’s going on in a way that makes sense, without talking down to you or acting like they’re doing you a favor. And they're fast as heck. I HAVE TO SHARE one of the best garages/team of mechanics that I've FINALLY FOUND. I'm a diesel truck owner and found the MOST DOWN TO EARTH SHOP THAT CARES ABOUT THE "WORKING MAN/WOMAN" and gives them AMAZING SERVICE. NO other crew knows diesels like these guys do and I'm FOREVER GRATEFUL TO THEM. As a diesel truck owner y'all KNOW the challenges that come with THAT power and I actually now know the details thanks to these guys. This is family owned and operated shop that tells you EVERYTHING TO FRONT, KNOWS THESE TRUCKS IN & OUT, and BEYOND HONEST! PS. THEY'RE DOG LOVERS TOO which even UPS THE ANTE! If you need a GREAT TRUCK SHOP, THIS IS IT! LOVE THESE GUYS!

I’ve been bringing my trucks to J and D Diesel in Fort Lauderdale for 12 years, and I can say without hesitation that Jeff, Dean, and their team Juan and Jason are the best diesel mechanics I’ve ever worked with. They are incredibly meticulous, their workmanship is outstanding, and they have never once steered me wrong. What really sets them apart is their honesty, knowledge, and experience. Jeff and Dean are the kind of owners you don’t come across often they genuinely know diesel trucks inside and out, use quality parts, and take real pride in doing the job right. That level of professionalism and integrity is hard to find. I used to live just a few miles from the shop, but after moving away last year, I thought I’d be able to find a shop closer to home that could match their expertise. I was wrong. Nobody compares to what these guys can do. In fact, I now drive 5 1/2 hours one way just to have them work on my truck, because the peace of mind is absolutely worth it. That says everything. A huge thank you to Jeff, Dean, and the entire team at J and D Diesel. If you want honest, knowledgeable professionals who do incredible work, this is the place to go.

I was procrastinating on getting an oil change for my 6.0 Powerstroke knowing that you can't always take it to a typical quick oil change shop. Called and they found me a time end of same day when someone else cancelled. Had me in and out quickly doing all the standard oil change/fuel system filters service. Did a inspection underneath to see if anything needed some attention and told me everything looked fine to my relief. Mentioned my AC never really blew very cold for me... they were able to quickly diagnose i had no leak and found my AC system just was needed the freon balanced correctly and added just the right amount on top of what was already there and everything instantly worked ice cold again as it should have been... Has been great since. Definitely the right place for these trucks.

After avoiding dealerships with my 6.0 powerstroke for so many years I knew I would eventually come across a situation where I would have to get rid of this truck if I couldn't find a good mechanic. Searching for diesel mechanics near me with good reviews I came across J & D. Just get it towed over and I'll take care of it. Next morning it was diagnosed and repaired. I like an old school business man who still runs a business with knowledge and integrity to support a fishing habit. I can relate to that one. Thanks Jeff.
